Kansas LPN Continuing Education Requirements

LVN Learning Institute is a California BVNPT-approved continuing education provider. Kansas accepts continuing nursing education from providers approved by other state boards of nursing.

Kansas LPNs must complete:

✓ 30 contact hours of approved continuing nursing education (CNE) during the most recent licensing period.  

The 30 contact hours must be completed during the applicable licensing period. Hours completed in excess of the 30-hour requirement cannot be carried over to the next renewal period.  

Exception: The 30-hour CNE requirement does not apply when the license expires within 30 months following initial licensure by examination or when renewal occurs within the first 9 months following licensure by reinstatement or endorsement.
