Alaska LPN Continuing Education Requirements

LVN Learning Institute is a California BVNPT-approved continuing education provider. Alaska recognizes continuing education approved by another Board of Nursing as an acceptable source of continuing education. 

Review Alaska’s LPN renewal requirements below and learn why LVN Learning Institute courses qualify.

Alaska LPNs must complete two of the following three continuing competency methods before license renewal:

✓ 30 contact hours of continuing education; OR

✓ 30 hours of participation in uncompensated professional activities; OR

✓ 320 hours of employment as an RN or LPN.

LPNs must complete two of the three methods above. Therefore, completing 30 contact hours of continuing education satisfies the CE component but does not, by itself, satisfy the entire Alaska continuing competency requirement.
