Georgia LPN Continuing Education Requirements

LVN Learning Institute is a California BVNPT-approved continuing education provider. Georgia recognizes continuing education from providers recognized by another state board of nursing within the United States.

Georgia LPNs must satisfy one of the following continuing competency options during the biennial renewal period:

✓ Complete 20 hours of continuing education from an accepted provider; OR

✓ Complete an accredited academic program of study in registered professional nursing, as recognized by the Georgia Board of Nursing.

For LPNs choosing the continuing education option, 20 continuing education hours must be completed during the biennial renewal period.

Georgia uses CE Broker for reporting and tracking continuing competency documentation. Nurses should retain their certificates of completion for their records. Georgia LPNs are responsible for self-reporting their completed continuing education to CE Broker and uploading their certificates of completion as required by the Georgia Board of Nursing.
