LVN Learning Institute is a California BVNPT-approved continuing education provider. Minnesota accepts continuing education activities approved by another health licensing board or health-related professional association, including nursing continuing education that meets Minnesota Board of Nursing requirements.

Minnesota LPNs must complete:

✓ 12 contact hours of continuing education during a typical 24-month registration period.

The continuing education requirement is calculated at a rate of one contact hour for every two months of registration. The number of required contact hours may vary if the nurse's registration period is shorter or longer than 24 months.

✓ No specific subject area is required for the general LPN continuing education requirement. Continuing education must be designed to enhance the nurse's ability to practice nursing.

Continuing education must be completed during the applicable continuing education participation period.
